Abercromby
Abercromby is a medium-sized neighborhood in the suburbs of South Durham, around fifteen minutes from the downtown area and Duke University or Durham Technical Community College. Several other neighborhoods border and connect to Abercromby, which makes the community feel much larger. The majority of the homes were built in the mid to late 1990s, though there has been some newer development in 2015 to 2016. Some of the older homes have also been updated to add more modern features. The homes throughout Abercromby are mostly two-stories and offer two to three bedrooms.
The neighborhood's central Durham location places residents a short drive away from Duke Forest, Wheels Fun Park, the popular Museum of Life and Sciences, The Streets at Southpoint, and multiple community parks. An twenty minute commute leads to UNC Chapel Hill University and the downtown Chapel Hill area. Residents can access RDU International Airport or Research Triangle Park in less than fifteen minutes.
