Ashfield Place
Ashfield Place is a large neighborhood in the suburbs just north of downtown Durham. The homes are mostly two-story, single family homes, though there are some one-story ranches. The majority of the homes are full or partially brick, with one or two-car garages, private backyards, and wide front porches. Some homes are also built in the colonial style with stone features, while others are more modern. Most of the homes feature three or more bedrooms, bright open floorplans, and large family rooms.
The neighborhood features a community center with an outdoor pool available for residents. The center also has a fenced-in playground and picnic area behind the pool. Less than 15 minutes away, residents can access downtown Durham, Duke University, Duke Forest, and the Museum of Life and Science among additional entertainment and recreational activities. RDU International Airport and Research Triangle Park are about a 25 minute drive from the neighborhood. Chapel Hill and the Falls Lake State Recreation Area are also around 30 minutes away, with downtown Raleigh being about a 45 minute drive via Highways 40 or 70.
