Winmore is located just ten minutes from downtown Chapel Hill and UNC Chapel Hill. Just a few minutes down the road is also Highway 1-40, which allows residents to have a short commute to Research Triangle Park, downtown Durham, and Raleigh. Winmore has been designed as a green as possible with community values and opportunities. There is a large multi-purpose athletic field surrounded by greenery and gentle hills, a walking trail that goes along Bolin Creek, multiple village greens, two playgrounds, and a paved walkway that leads to the Chapel Hill Greenway. There is also a community garden, some fruit orchards, and natural wetlands and 26 acres of open land that are home to different wildlife, including butterflies, birds, and deer.
