Woodlake is a large community of 600 single family homes and some townhomes. It is located between Fayetteville and Southwest Durham. There is a community clubhouse that features a pool, lounge areas, and an indoor gym facility. The clubhouse also features community events and classes, such as water aerobics and parties. Residents can enjoy the beautiful nature of Durham with a walking trail along the neighborhood lake, Crooked Creek, and the greenery throughout the community. Woodlake is also a prime location for bird watchers. Many homes sit on large, wooded lots, with many being fenced in and private. There are mostly older homes throughout the neighborhood, however newer ones have been added over the years. Because of this, homes can range in style and size, with many offering either open floorplans or more traditional, transitional floorplans.
Woodlake is also right next to Piney Wood Park, the Streets at Southpoint, and the Renaissance Center. The neighborhood is also roughly 15 minutes from Research Triangle Park and RDU International Airport, while being 25 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Crabtree Valley Mall, and William B. Umstead State Park.
