Mike Burrows Agent
Intensely dedicated and loyal to all my family, friends, associates, and clients.
Raised, trained, and educated with high standards and expectations in Blacksburg, Va. where I worked hard and passionately to the best of my ability in school, multiple sports activities, and numerous jobs. A member of the National Honor Society and a somewhat accomplished athlete with multiple district football and basketball championships and the highlight of a Va. state basketball championship.
Early in life I developed an aptitude and love for building and I, in fact, designed and built my first house (a multiple level tree house) at the age of twelve. I have been designing and building ever since.
After graduating from high school in 1965, I went on to graduate from Virginia Tech in 1969 with a BS degree in Building Construction (School of Architecture). While at Va. Tech I was also a member of the US Army ROTC Corp of Cadets, and upon graduation I was commissioned as an officer. From there I served over two years active duty and twenty-five years of reserve status retiring as a Lt. Col.
I married my "high school sweetheart" in 1968; we have now been married for more than 47 years while being blessed with two wonderful daughters and five grandchildren.
After my active military service I have been actively and continuously employed and self employed in the building construction, development, and real estate businesses in the capacity of tradesman, estimator, project manger, design, construction management, etc. while being a licensed general contractor in Virginia, Tennessee, & currently North Carolina and a licensed Realtor in NC since 1985.
I am eager to serve my clients with a wealth of extensive experience and knowledge.
